The Iroquois was being sling-loaded with an Army Recoil-less Rifle on the external cargo hook during Exercise ‘Fix-Fast’. The Crewman is managing the Pilot/Loader interface. Note the illusion of curved main rotor blades resulting from the focal plane shutter in my Pentax S1A 35mm camera. [A2-509 was Delivered to 5 Squadron Fairbairn in Feb 1968, ex US Army 67-17311 as a UH-1D. She was later upgraded to UH-1H (when fitted with a Lycoming T53-L13 engine) and was transferred to the PNGDF in Aug 1989 after retirement.]
