Rare low-res In-Flight Wing View from Lufthansa's Second Boeing 747, between Frankfurt and Athens on 06Feb1974. (My first flight in a B747.) The Lufthansa Logo is visible on both P&W JT-9D engines. Photo taken from the front Port-side in Lufthansa Boeing 747-130 D-ABYB, which took me from Frankfurt to Hong Kong via Athens, Kuwait, Delhi and Bangkok. D-ABYB (City of Hessen) was the first civil Boeing 747 to crash - on 20Nov1974 at Nairobi Airport Kenya, sadly with the loss of 59 lives (RIP). Apologies for the low quality of this 1974 photo.
