Rear Stbd view of Vintage Heli-Muster Bell UH-1H VH-HUE Cn 65-09763 at Luskintyre near Maitland NSW, Australia on 04Oct2014. This helo is a former US Army UH-1H, rather than a Civil Bell 205. Photo taken during the Great Tiger Moth Air Race on 04Oct2014. The aircraft was painted in a neat red/white and blue civil livery and was marked with Code ‘Helitack 271’. This Huey, named Hannah, crashed near Cabramurra in the Snowy Mountains in NSW on 17Apr2018. The Pilot, Phil O’Driscoll, was rescued and Medevac-ed by a Toll AW139 helicopter to Canberra Hospital with serious/stable injuries. The Huey caught fire after the rescue, and is likely to be a Write-Off.
