Close-cropped front Stbd view of RAAF C-47B Dakota VH-CIN, A65-71, Code OM-N, taken before a flight over NSW South Coast (near Moruya) on 09Oct1993. This aircraft was originally delivered to the RAAF in Feb 1945 as 43-49870, Callsign VH-CIN. This Dakota was painted in faded Olive Drab livery. This aircraft carried the body of wartime Prime Minister John Curtin from Canberra to Perth in July 1945, for Curtin's funeral in West Australia. VH-CIN also survived a collision with a ship's mast in Coffs Harbour in May 1956. This aircraft is now stored in the Australian War Memorial's (AWM) Mitchell Annex, with wings removed.
