Notes:

Rare Wing View photo taken from RAAF C-47B Dakota VH-CIN, A65-71, Code OM-N, orbiting over Broulee on the NSW South Coast (near Moruya) on 09Oct1993. The Dakota was then owned by the Australian War Memorial (AWM) and operated by an RAAF crew. Photo taken during a 1.1 hour flight from RAAF Fairbairn (YSCB) to Moruya, Bateman's Bay and back to Canberra. The flight was planned to fly over the Snowy Mountains, but strong gusting winds changed the Flightplan. This aircraft was originally delivered to the RAAF in Feb 1945 as 43-49870, Callsign VH-CIN. This Dakota was painted in faded Olive Drab livery, replicating her original WWII paint scheme. This aircraft carried the body of wartime Prime Minister John Curtin from Canberra to Perth in July 1945, for Curtin's funeral in West Australia. VH-CIN also survived a collision with a ship's mast in Coffs Harbour in May 1956. Low res photo. Apologies for the quality of this photo.
