Photo taken during a NAS Nowra Open Day in May 1980. The aircraft, Delivered in Nov 1967, wears a two-tone grey camouflage paint scheme, which works well here. This aircraft crashed off HMAS Melbourne 200 km South-West of Colombo in October 1980, due to ship catapult failure. The A-4 with Code 885 displayed in the Museum of Flight at NAS Nowra is an ex-USN aircraft painted to represent N13-154906 (Code 885). Apologies for the quality of this 1980 photo.
