AVP moments from startup at East Wallabi Island, the island is located off the coast of Geraldton, and is only reachable by small aircraft and boat. The island has no residents, but nearby smaller islands house fishing communities. I flew in onboard MIA with 5 others for lunch, before departing a few hours later back to Kalbarri. The “airfield” itself is a 600m dirt / gravel strip with space for about 6 C208s, with no other markings or indications. Certainly one of the cooler places I’ve flown into!
