This Phantom holds the distinction of being the last F-4 from a front line Navy squadron to launch from the deck of an aircraft carrier. On March 25, 1986 this jet launched off the deck of the CV-41, the USS Midway, and recovered at Naval Air Facility Atsugi. Now she lives out her days on the deck of the USS Hornet Museum in the Bay Area. Seen here stripped of paint awaiting further restoration
