Notes:

[Full HD/1920px] On an airside visit to LPFR for some professional duties, I had the privilege of finally taking a decent shot of this gem which is impounded in Faro since April 2007 by order of the International Criminal Court (ICC). 9Q-CMC was owned by Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, former Vice-President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo who was accused of crimes against Humanity (murder and rape) and three counts of war crimes (murder, rape, and pillaging). This frame was built in 1965, first flew on May 14th of the same year and was delivered to Lufthansa on May 25th as D-ABIQ. The registration was kept when delivered to subsidiary Condor, in March 1968. Following registrations were N727CH & VR-BHP (Jet Aviation, 1982), VR-UHM & VS-UHM (Government of Brunei, 1983-1984), back to N727CH in February 1984, V8-UHM & V8-BG1 (once again operated by the Government of Brunei from April 1984 until 1985), V8-BG2 (Royal Brunei Airlines, March 1989), 9M-SAS (Royal Pahang, March 1989), 5B-DBE (Aimes Company, May 1995), N134AS (One Charter LLC, September 2006) and finally the current registration in early January 2007. An aircraft with quite a troubled life... I would like to thank my friend Cesário Fernandes for his help with the history of this lovely bird.
