Evening descent to BOM on AI618 from Hyderabad shows off Air India’s striking red color in contrast with the hills behind Mahape and Ulhas River in the distance. It’s always nice to see the wing registration carried, which some Indian carriers now omit. The strake on the fan cowl, grills for the precooler heat exchanger on the engine pylon and leading edge slats 1-5 are visible.
