Reproduced from a K64 slide. This former Kitty Hawk example was delivered to African International Airways using registration 3D-AIA. The 3 in the registration looks more like a 8, because underneath the 3 was doubled over the 8 in it's former registration, N802MG, part of which still appears on the nose wheel door. Registration 3D-AIA is not unique to this DC-8, African International used it on two other (series 55) DC-8s. African International went on to operate this example as ZS-OSI.
