(Photo taken from taxying Dash 8-Q402 VH-QOK.) My First Flight in a Dash8-400 was in VH-QOD, flying from Canberra YSCB to Brisbane YBBN on 19Jun2006 (a 1.9 hour direct flight). The aircraft tracked over Sydney Airport YSSY [Mascot] instead of flying the direct track (on the Jet Route) between Canberra and Brisbane. (Jet flights between Canberra and Brisbane usually take 1.3 to 1.5 hours.)
