Stbd side view of Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Douglas C-47A Skytrain N88874 Cn 12693 SN 42-92847 Named ‘That’s All, Brother’, on static display at Oshkosh KOSH USA 24Jul2017. (Fundraising for continued restoration.) This aircraft was discovered to be the transport aircraft that led the D-Day invasion of Normandy, France on 06Jun1944. Five hours before the D-Day beach landings began, ‘That’s All, Brother’ led a formation of more than 800 aircraft that dropped 13,000 paratroopers behind enemy lines. The aircraft was named ‘That’s All, Brother’ as a personal message to Adolf Hitler that, with the Allied invasion of Europe, his plans were done. Thursday 06Jun2019 is the 75th Anniversary of D-Day : 06Jun1944. This aircraft is to lead a re-enactment of the D-Day invasion flight on 06Jun2019.
