Operated by 15 Squadron, Buccaneer S2B XW546/L arrives back at RAF Lossiemouth during a bombing competition held at the Scottish RAF Base in early October 1977. Normally based at RAF Laarbruch, West Germany the Buccaneers there were unique in not carrying in flight refuelling probes, the reason allegedly having something to do with the closeness of RAF Laarbruch to the East German border at the time so a tanker would not be of much use.
