Photo taken during the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) which celebrated the Royal Air Force (RAF) 100th Anniversary. The RAF aircraft wore a Special Logo, the Red ‘RAF 100’ Logo on the tail fin. Note the Air to Air (AAR) hose and drogue extended on the apron beside the aircraft. The growing clouds at rear ultimately caused the Cancellation of a Heritage Flypast at 1400 hrs, when rain dumped on Fairford during the flypast timeslot.
