Photo taken at the Warbirds Over Wanaka (WOW) 2016 Airshow, in ‘Warbird Alley’ on Friday 25Mar2016. The Buchon, transported to Wanaka for WOW 2016 by John Romain of the Aircraft Restoration Company (ARCo) at Duxford UK, was also expertly flown by John during the three-day airshow. (John waits for the ‘Prop to be Clear’ of visitors, before starting the engine.) This aircraft, the major ‘Drawcard’ for the WOW Airshow, featured prominently on the cover of the 2016 Airshow Program. This HA1112 MIL Buchon has a Rolls Royce Merlin 500-45 engine installed.
