The 2nd ever own widebody of MALEV Hungarian Airlines. First flight February 25 1993 with Boeing N60668 test registration. Delivered MALEV April 30 as HA-LHB. Seen taxiing in and over Terminal 2 after landing on RWY 31L from a faraway destination. Wet lease to Oman Air between November 23 2007 and May 11 2008. MALEV has finally ceased long range flights in October 2010. This one has never been sold, and the owner bank did not allow to tow into the open air museum of the Hungarian aviation heritage. Eroded on the technical ramp for years and finally was dumped to a remote area. Neither the airline, nor this historical workhorse deserved this. Tail fin is visible today at Aeropark Budapest. Dedicated to all who were privileged to serve on this beauty blue nose! Scanned from an old slide.
