This was the last official flight of famous captain Robert Piche prior his retirement. He was at the commands of Air Transat 236 on august 24, 2001 and managed to land safely in the Azores after a 19 minutes gliding flight following a major fuel leak over the Atlantic. However his last real flight was on october 12 on a special one hour charter flight over Quebec City in order to raise money for his foundation.
