Rare close cropped Stbd side view of RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) UH-1D Iroquois A2-508 Cn 9508, taken 'Air to Air' Inflight in 5 Squadron's D442 Training Area (near Bungendore NSW) on 12Sep1968. The Huey wears Olive Drab Matte livery, as Delivered, and has the RAAF Roundel on the tail boom incorrectly applied - facing aft. Photo taken from ('Bastard Delta') UH-1D A2-085, during a Tactical Formation training flight. A2-508 was later upgraded to UH-1H standard, when a Lycoming T53-L13 engine was fitted. I also flew in A2-508 from Butterworth Malaysia to Bidan Island, and return, on 02Apr1981.
