In 1958, the plane was acquired by the company Swissar and it was intended to fly non - stop services to the U.S.A. In 1961, it was sod to Scandinavian Airlines Services (SAS); homewere, it was only put into service when acquired by Japan Airlines (JAL), for Tokyo - San Francisco and Tokyo - Los Angeles routes, via Honolulu.
