Where in the World – Polar Air? At least a dozen aircraft were Diverted from Sydney during the evening of Sunday 19Feb2017. Polar Air Cargo B747-46NF(SCD) N451PA Cn 30809 was Diverted to Canberra YSCB, arriving about 2030 hrs and staying overnight. Stbd side view of the aircraft departing from Canberra’s Rwy 35 at 1215 hrs on 20Feb2017, with the Black Mountain Tower visible at rear. The aircraft finally arrived at Sydney (Sunday’s intended destination) at 1245 hrs (about 16 hours late). Crew Rest requirements (and Sydney’s overnight Curfew) prevented an earlier recovery to YSSY.
