The fuselage pod of Vampire NZ5704 is used as a ‘Sit-In’ exhibit by the RNZAF Museum. Part of the Panel is covered by a sheet of Perspex to help preserve the exhibit. The RNZAF operated six two-seat Vampire ‘trainers’ from 1952 till 1972. NZ5704 was operated by 14 Sqn and 75 Sqn from Ohakea (75 Sqn later operated A4K and TA-4K Skyhawks.) This Vampire ended its Service career as an Instructional Airframe (Number INST187).
