Close-cropped view of the Instrument Panel of retired RNZAF De Havilland Vampire T.55 NZ5704 Cn 15026, taken at the RNZAF Museum at Wigram NZWG New Zealand on 29Mar2016. The fuselage pod of Vampire NZ5704 is used as a ‘Sit-In’ exhibit by the RNZAF Museum. Part of the Panel is covered by a sheet of Perspex to help preserve the exhibit. The RNZAF operated six two-seat Vampire ‘trainers’ from 1952 till 1972. NZ5704 was operated by 14 Sqn and 75 Sqn from Ohakea (75 Sqn later operated A4K and TA-4K Skyhawks.) This Vampire ended its Service career as an Instructional Airframe (Number INST187).
