The restored nose of RAAF Beaufort MK.IX A9-150 was on display indoors at the Australian National Aviation Museum (ANAM) Moorabbin Victoria during the ‘Open Cockpit Day’ on 08Nov2014. Low-Key close-cropped view of the Restored Instrument Panel/ Flight Deck of A9-150. The nose section of A9-150 will be attached to the fuselage of A9-13 (the cockpit of which was destroyed in a crash in PNG), during its current restoration. A9-150 Served with 1 OTU and had a Forced Landing on 09Nov45 at Cowell Aerodrome, South Australia. Authorised for write off in May 1946. The bare cockpit section was previously at ANAM. It was Traded to the Australian War Memorial, and Acquired by Ralph Cusack. Later re-acquired by ANAM in fully restored condition. (Ref: ADF-Serials.)
