This Gnat lurched to the right on take-off for its formation display with the Gnat Display Team at the RAF Waddington Air Show, causing a violent oscilation of the nosewheel, which can be seen here to be turned sharply to the right. The disturbance was believed to have been caused by the wake turbulence from a preceding Hunter. All was well subsequently and the team completed a safe landing after a spectacular display.
