Exactly one year after that these 2 x LAF Mirage F1s had disobeyed orders to attack civilian rebels in Benghazi during the Libyan uprising, and defected to Malta, they were flown back to Libya, now wearing the new Libyan flag roundels, by the same two pilots who had originally defected to Malta and given political asylum.
