This airplane was used by W. W. "Woody" Edmondson who thrilled audiences with aerobatic displays throughout the 1940s. Edmondson had named this airplane "Little Butch" for its bulldog-like appearance. In this very airplane Edmondson was able to win the first International Aerobatic Championship in 1948.
