Canberra's Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) had an annual Open Day on 27Aug2011. The Six ADF Helicopters on static display were RAN MRH-90 A40-006, S-70B-2 Seahawk N24-014 (883), Sea King N16-118 (907), A-109E Power N42-505 and AS-350B Squirrel N22-013 (860), and Army Bell 206B-1 Kiowa A17-014. Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Sea King Mk.50a N16-118 Cn WA793 is shown preparing to depart the football oval display area at the end of the Open Day. (The slow shutter speed used makes the tail rotor look like a full disc.) The RAN Sea Kings will be Retired late in 2011, being replaced by the new MRH-90s.
