Notes:

Close cropped front Stbd view of Corsair FG-1D ZK-COR taxying back beside Rwy 11, after the last flying display at Warbirds Over Wanaka 2010, late on Sunday 04Apr2010. The pilot, Keith Skilling, was weaving the aircraft with rudder inputs, as it is impossible to see straight ahead past the large radial engine. The aircraft, with distinctive 'gull wings' looks good with a mountain background. This aircraft type featured in a 1970s television series called 'Baa Baa Blacksheep'/ 'Black Sheep Squadron'. The WWII US Marine Corps Corsair unit - VMF-214, led by Major Gregory 'Pappy' Boyington, was based at Espirito Santo (the largest island in the modern-day nation of Vanuatu.)
