Notes:

We drived with our rental car through the desert and suddenly we see a Tristar at the horizon! We took a break and I could take a shot from this stored nice old aircraft! This Lockheed L-1011 Tristar has a long life back itself. On 08.11.1974 the a/c was delivered to British Airways, than fly for a short time for Aer Lingus. After this, it has many short operations for different Airlines. From 12/2008 it was not in operation any more. Now it is a sample on the space from the Emirates National Auto Museum in the nowhere southwest of Abu Dhabi!

KEVIN ROWETT

Great photo Dennis, she looks to still be in the basic livery of Caledonian, you can still see the Lion logo on the tail. Regards. Kevin
