On July 15 ship 6802 suffered a bird strike during it's take-off roll at AMS. The 757-200 performed a rejected take-off and in the process applied max brakes. The brakes heated up causing the tires to heat up as well. By design, a plug in one of the tires melted allowing the tire to deflate and break up instead of exploding

Comments
Before we get into a tizzy here, know that this photo showcases the landing gear thermal fuse plugs working "as designed". In a high-energy stop like this RTO with heavy braking, its likely that the wheels overheated, subsequently causing the thermal fuse plugs to relieve the tire pressure.
