Chipmunks were used extensively by the Royal Navy for elementary training. This one is seen here in the Heron Flight hangar on a stormy day in January 1986. It was delivered to the RAF in 1952 & transferred from RAF Bomber Command, Waddington, to the Navy in 1971. It was sold off in 1994 & is currently in storagein the USA registered N546PU.
