RAAF CAC CA-27 Avon Sabre Mk32 A94-983 (with Inert AIM-9B Sidewinder Missiles aboard) does a high speed 'Top-Side Pass' at the Bi-Centennial Airshow at RAAF Richmond in October 1988. Although Civil registered as VH-PCM, she was being operated by No 2 Aircraft Depot (2AD) based at RAAF Richmond. The 'Sword' (Delivered in Nov 1957) was transferred to the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) in Dec 1971, but was returned to the RAAF in 1978. She is shown in the colours of the 75 Squadron 'Black Diamonds' Aerobatic Team. Early in 2006, the aircraft was allotted to the Temora Aviation Museum for restoration to Flight Status. (Her First Post-Restoration Flight [as VH-IPN] was at Temora [YTEM] on 16July2009, after being grounded for 16 years). Low res photo.
