Notes:

No 36 Squadron C-130A A97-205 Cn 382-3205 (in bare metal livery) orbits the airfield during a flying display at RAAF Fairbairn in Sept 1968 (Topside view). This was the First Hercules acquired by the RAAF, 50 years ago. She was delivered in Dec 1958, and Retired in Aug 1978. (The C-130A disposal process took ten years.) I flew in this aircraft from Butterworth to Darwin (8.1 hrs) and Darwin to Richmond (5.9 hrs) over 17/19Apr1977. ( No 3 engine was shut down in flight on the YPDN-YSRI leg of the trip.) Apologies for the low quality of this 1968 photo.
