RAAF 36 Sqn C-130H A97-008 leads a flight of eight Hercules during a Formation Flypast at the Australian Bi-Centennial Airshow at RAAF Richmond on 13Oct1988. The Leader's Wingmen are performing a Break. The first group of four aircraft are C-130Hs, and the next four are C-130Es operated by 37 Sqn. An impressive sight - and sound - 32 Allison T56 Turboprops in unison - Allison Wonderland! The first RAAF Hercules acquired was C-130A A97-205 in December 1958. The 50th Anniversary is now noted on the tail of C-130H A97-008, which flew displays at the Defence Airshow at Amberley in October 2008.
