This photo sums up what LBA is all about for me. We don't have the most interesting traffic here at my humble little home airport, but what we do have is one of the best opportunities to observe and photograph aircraft I've ever been to. Yeadon Cemetary sits right next to the end of Rwy 14, giving superb views of both departing and arriving traffic and Yeadon Tarn, a lake and park, lies a mere 5 minutes walk away; a great place to wander round when the traffic dies down a bit. A cemetary may seem like an odd place to spend time shooting aircraft, but there always seems to a very happy atmosphere here and it generally just feels a good place to be. I've spent many happy hours here over the last 3 years. Yup... I love my little airport!
