Notes:

Rare 1968 front view of near-new TAA DC-9-31 VH-TJL Cn 47009, (Named 'Angus McMillan', Del: Aug 1967) on approach to Melbourne's Essendon Airport YMEB in Dec 1968. The flaps and slats are out, and the wheels are extended. The engines are working hard to maintain glideslope, producing plenty of smoke. My first flight in a TAA DC-9 was in VH-TJP from Mascot Sydney to Essendon on 28Apr1970. Thanks to the TAA Museum (Essendon) staff for Identifying this aircraft. Apologies for quality of this 1968 photo.
