Rare 1974 underside view of TAA B727-76 VH-TJC Cn 18843, (Del: Aug1965) on long finals for Adelaide's West Beach Airport (YPAD), late in the afternoon on 03Jul1974. The flaps and slats are out, but the wheels are still retracted. I had flown from Melbourne to Adelaide (0.9 hrs) in this aircraft the same morning, and was surprised to see her overhead as I prepared to leave for the Airport that afternoon. VH-TJC followed me around! (I flew back to Melbourne later that afternoon in TAA B727-276 VH-TBG – a 0.9 hour trip.)
