Airport Days 2007. The last airworthy Vereinigte Flugtechnische Werke-Fokker VFW-614 D-ADAM taxiing out for departure to Cologne. There were built only 13 aircrafts of this type - unfortunately no commercial success for this aircraft that could operate from unsurfaced runways, therefore the engines mounted over the wings to prevent the ingestion of sand or little stones. This quite strange looking aircraft is now used by 'Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt' (DLR), involved in the ATTAS project (Advanced Technologies Testing Aircraft System) since 1986.
