The Indian Air Force (Bharatiya Vayu Sena) is the fourth largest in the world – after those of USA, Russian & China - and increasingly capable. This IL-78MKI three-point refuelling tanker was one of two detached to RAF Waddington in support of Indra Dhanush 2007, a ten-day Anglo-Indian air exercise involving six Su-30s, the end of which coincided with RIAT. Three of the Su-30s arrived for the show the same evening. (400D, anti-shake Sigma 80-400 & fluid-head tripod)
