Another 1947 Silvaire Deluxe arriving at Great Vintage Flying Weekend, this one owned by a Bletchley syndicate. It was previously on the American register as N23FP. Design of Luscombe’s streamlined monoplane began in 1937, when light aircraft were the technological equals of military fighters, and this all-metal development came out in 1946. The 8E has an 85hp Continental flat four. (400D, Sigma 80-400 & fluid-head tripod)
