Behold the mighty Globemaster! The crew begins to secure the plane after its arrival at Airventure. Its 4 Pratt & Whitney engines give it enough power to operate on a 3,000ft runway if needed and it can safely hold a 70-ton M-1 Abrams tank. This plane is assigned to the 452nd Air Mobility Wing at March AFB and was delivered into service in December 2005.

They say tanks aren't fast?? Lets do the math, if an M-1 Abrams Main battle is on board the above, the M-1 Abrams has a cruise speed of about 500 (give or take) miles per hour!! (Though engaging targets could be an ever so slight problem!!) Nice shot of this Globemaster III, Bruce!!
