Detailed view on the tail section of Belgian Air Component's Airbus, showing the new badge - the logo of the Ministry of Defence - which replaces the national flag as fin flash. The new logo, which was introduced in 2002, is composed of a roundel in Belgian national colors, surrounded by a border in European Union blue, marked with 12 yellow stars and NATO's four-pointed compass. The new fin flash has been applied to all non-tactical transport aircraft of the Belgian Defence. The royal coat of arms is visible at the center of the tail-fin.
