Finally leaving for home, this F-18 was one of two stranded at Mildenhall for nearly two weeks. The aircraft come from VMFA 112 "Cowboys" based at NAS Fort Worth, Texas. The original deployment of four aircraft had been flying out of Boscombe down before repositioning here for their flight back to the USA. Unfortunately one of the aircraft went u/s, and while two Hornets headed home, these two machines were delayed.
