As the shadows grow longer late in the day...a lone Cessna sits on the ramp in Lone Pine CA. The taxiway leads out to runway 16/34. The airport is much more active in the summer...with glider lessons and flights aswell as more visitors stopping for 100LL Avgas. Directly behind me from this shot is the 14,495 ft Mt. Whitney, highest in the continental United States.
