Hi the reason for this Virgin was in EDI was Sir Richard Branson has touched down in Scotland accompanied by a plane full of international campaigners ahead of the G8 Summit. They arrived at Edinburgh Airport in a special Virgin plane to press home the drive to make poverty history, before the start of the summit at Gleneagles in Perthshire. Sir Richard was accompanied on the flight by pop star Natalie Imbruglia and was met on the tarmac by comedian Eddie Izzard and musician and poverty campaigner Midge Ure. The boss of Virgin said that the plane had been filled with members of the One Campaign from the US, the Make Poverty History group and dozens of other organisations in Africa. Regards James
Hello James, Yeah I know why it was in for. I'm just happy to capture it on camera! Not everyday you see these aircraft in EDI espically with the passengers it was carrying and also the cause.
