Austrian Airlines is finally retireing its last two remaining MD-80’s, the workhorse during the 80’s and 90’s. Here you see a picture of the MD-80 Farewell party showing the nose of "Krems" and the video wall where some pictures were shown. Here you see eight MD-80s parked around Pier East @ VIE, I guess it was in the late 80's. It was quite sentimental when they played songs like “Simply The Best” and “Time To Say Good Bye” when they pulled out the aircraft from the hangar for the last time… Austrian operated the DC-9-30, DC-9-50, MD-81/82/83 and MD-87 [Fuji Finepix S20Pro]
