Notes:

Flying back into STN, I couldn't believe my luck when LHR appeared below with clear skies. Overview just before midday. Note how Terminal 1 is deserted whereas T3/T4 are full with all the long haul flights preparing for departure. There also aren't that many aircraft taxying on the ground - a few heavies taxying to 27L for departure and a few aircraft vacated 27R. The T5 construction area can be seen in between the 2 parallel runways, though it wasn't as well advanced back in February when this was taken. Concorde is parked just off Runway 23.
