El Condor

The pedigree Airbus nose! From the outside at least, the A340's nose strongly resembles that of the A300, A310 and A330. If I'm not mistaken the fuselage width is also about the same. Just as Boeing has used the 707 stencil (nose & fuselage diameter) for nearly 50 years (even the 737NGs still have it!), so to has Airbus been using the A300 stencil for 30 years on its widebodies! At least they tried a new design for the A320, which was subsequently duplicated on the A318/19/21! Oh well...
