A few hours after this photo was taken on the 7th of February 2024, one of the passengers has a "panic attack" and proceeds to open the L1 door after the aircraft lined up on runway 36 had resulting in the emergency slide to deploy. Flights inbound to Chiang Mai were forced to hold in a pattern or diverted to BKK. However, departure flights out of Chiang Mai are still able to take off via taxiway F (Including my flight to DMK luckily) instead of taxiway H at the end of the airport. The man is now arrested and charged for his actions.
