Scanned from a negative / Delivered to Malaysian on 5th March 1990 as 9M-MJK, then with Futura from December 1994 as EC-737, then re-registered as EC-FZX in April 1995, Jet Airways from November 1995 as VT-JAH, Transbrasil from November 1998 as PT-TDF, back to Futura from April 1999 as EC-HCN and leased to Air Europa, Helios Airways from May 2000 as 5B-DBG, Malev from July 001 as HA-LEY and finally Lion Air from February 2005 as PK-LIJ. Written off on 24th December 2006 at Sultan Hasanuddin Intl Airport, Makassar, Indonesia, as the aircraft overran the runway on landing after gear collapsed. This picture was probably taken on one of its very first flight with Futura

Thanks Brent for sharing this info! Always so interesting to hear stories about a specific aircraft and especially also what happened to it, though always sad when they finished w/o following a crash. I'm always interested in my scans to share the history of the aircraft which often leads me to have pictured the same aircraft with different airlines or different liveries and know their stories. At the time this plane went to Transbrasil, it was nicknamed "Atomic" by the company's employees at the time. My father was in aircraft maintenance there at the time and told me this story. Very cool.
